SYNLAWN® NEW YORK PROVIDED THE GREEN INSTALLATION ON JOSIE ROBERTSON PLAZA AT LINCOLN CENTER.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY– A gorgeous temporary art installation called The GREEN has been installed on the Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center.   As part of their “Restart Stages” initiative, they have commissioned designer Mimi Lien to create The GREEN participatory public art installation, for which SYNLawn® New York has provided the material to convert 14,000 square feet of concrete into a lush and vibrant space centered around the iconic Revson Fountain.

This stunning installation was created out of Recyclable, biobased SYNLawn® artificial grass made in the USA from renewable soybean oil fully sourced from US farmers.  It is literally the most realistic artificial turf in the industry.

SYNLawn® New York was also the company behind the jaw-dropping artificial lawn installation at City Square Central Park, which can be seen here.

New Yorkers, Upper West Siders, and many others will be able to visit and enjoy this art installation, “The GREEN,” this summer.

It is open to the public as of May 10 and will remain open through the season, from 8 a.m. every day.

At the forefront of this installation is renowned set designer and MacArthur Genius grantee Mimi Lien who created the design for “The GREEN.”

“The GREEN” will also be the physical focal point of Lincoln Center’s “Restart Stages” initiative, which recently opened to the public as a major outdoor performing arts center featuring 10 outdoor performance and rehearsal spaces between West 62nd and 65th Streets.

There will be safety protocols in place adhering to local, state, and federal guidelines at the time as well as Lincoln Center protocols, currently including masks, social distancing, and regular cleaning.
